04/29/2015 12:42 amMoney is no object at this one-of-a-kind UES Italian, famed for serving "nothing-out-of-this-world" food for "mortgage-the-house" sums; habitués jockey for the "sidewalk seats" on Madison Avenue ("the place to be seen"), where a "pretentious" crowd is attended to by staffers who "think they're celebs." |

04/13/2015 2:31 pmI just can't take this place seriously. 15$ for a bottle of water, 60$ for an asparagus dish...If you like overpaying for something that isn't that great to begin with this is the place for you. |

10/01/2014 12:07 amStay Away. I'm a food and wine connoisseur that has travel the world and had dine at some of the best restaurants in the world, Louis XV in Monaco, The Forge in Miami, The French Room in Dallas, La Tour D' Arden in Paris and many more, but this place ranks as one of the worse places that I have ever dine in my life, New york has numerous fine Italian restaurants, Le Cirque, Il Cortile, and many more, stay away from this trashy run of the mill place, they are a bunch of gangsters and you will be rip off, besides the food is horrible and the service, well there is no service. |

08/08/2014 12:55 amNello's has become one of my favorite Italian restaurants in a city that's filled with them. The service was impeccable, friendly and a balanced amount of casual to make you feel at home yet assure you that you are at a high end restaurant. I had the mozzarella di Bufala, served with tomatoes. Followed by the Capesante Alla Griglia a dish of 3 grilled sea scallops in an herb marinade garnished with endive and scallions. For my main course I chose to be a bit adventurous and ordered the Chilean Sea Bass "osso buco". The sea bass was braised in a lobster and saffron veloute and served on a bed of rice pilaf. This is more a French preparation but I appreciated the creativity of preparing sea bass in an osso buco style normally reserved for veal. The fish was tender and the flavors melds in your mouth. |
