Pete is the best server ever! Thanks for being so accommodating! We loved the burgers, risotto and duck spring rolls.

I will cut them some slack b\c it was Valentines day and it was the end of their brunch. Now what we ordered shouldn't of taken an hour to show up and it was cold. We ordered pancakes, french toast and a breakfast burrito (the only dish that showed up warm). Oh and a side of bacon should be more than one piece. On the bright side of things the meal was on the house b\c it was slow and cold.

When we couldn’t find an open table at any of the nearby restaurants, London Grill’s big dinning room had room. The bar area which is decent sized with about 4 high tops tables and a bunch of seating at the bar with a tv, was full, so we went to the dinning room. The area has a fairly upscale atmosphere, as does the menu, but prices are decent and the service is very friendly and fairly casual. I didn’t feel out of place in athletic gear the night before running the marathon. The menu is a mix of Italian inspired dishes and more “new American”. There are several pasta dishes including the boar  fettuccini which was out, so I got the daily gnocchi special, mozzarella and bacon topped, instead. There is also Korean fried chicken, parmesan-truffle frites, meatball sliders, and steak. The frites were nice and earthy without being overly truffle flavored and cooked to a nice crispy doneness. The gnocchi was excellent though fairly heavy and very filling. The bacon and cheese added great flavor and succulent depth to the nice and chewy, pillowy gnocchi. The Korean fried chicken was fried very nicely, maintaining the tenderness of the chicken with the nice crisp fried skin outside. The same was nice and tangy as well though not overly spicy. The atmosphere in the dinning room is very nice as well with a big glass window that sort of overhangs the whole wall, so you get lots of light. The beer and wine selection was also top notch. Great place for a pretty hearty meal.

Three stars because of previous good experiences. Sunday afternoon bartender has no sense of sanitation and entirely lacking in drink mixing skill. Red sangria is bland and wildly disappointing. Service staff was timid and not very knowledgeable (possibly recent heavy turnover). Past experiences have been decent and without too much complaint. Happy hour specials are great and the atmosphere is very blue collar comfortable at night. Perhaps the daytime hours are simply more hit and miss. Agree with previous posters: Approach with an open mind and reasonably low expectation.

Agree with other reviewers. London Grill has always been hit or miss with me. Half the party will be over the moon with their plates, and the other half suffer through what basically amounts to reheated leftovers. I do know they have gone through a bit of a turnaround though, and do plan on going back to try again!
