03/05/2009 5:59 pmThe last time I went to Newport Seafood Grill was in 2008 and now I know why I don't go very often. The last time I went the Halibut was undercooked and that's exactly what happened last night. My mom ordered stuffed Salmon and the salmon was practically raw in the middle. The manager didn't offer any discount or to take the meal off but offered a free $7 dessert. Woopie do! The dessert was not very good either. Not until we were done did they mention that they took the salmon dinner off the bill but what gets me is the service. When someone asks for a straw for their drink you don't expect to wait 20 minutes to get it. I'm not a waitress but that's the first thing I would have done. Obviously the customer doesn't want to drink from the glass. I ended up getting the straw myself because the waitress completely forgot that I asked for one. I WILL NOT RETURN EVER AGAIN! |

08/16/2008 4:58 amFood was average at best. The "happy hour" 3-7pm in the bar is great! So, decided to give dinner a try. Not going to again. Service was average. Food was barely average. Best part was the chocolate cake my son had with his meal. The presentation was beautiful. Short of that... Won't be back unless its happy hour. |

11/25/2007 12:38 amThe service and food has always been great! Not sure what the hell the previous review idiot was talking about, but too bad for them. I'm sure they got what they deserved. Obviously, the universe did not want them to eat there again! LOL.... Newport Grill is an excellent place for good dining and great atmosphere. 10 thumbs up! |

09/05/2007 2:52 amSeptember 3, 2007...made the mistake of ordering a so-called "Cobb Salad with Chicken"...not at all what I received. Instead of the standard, and acceptable Cobb Salad, I received a plate of finely shredded lettuce containing minute bits of chicken, avocado, bacon and egg white...and, believe me, not enough of those materials to really account for calling this rabbit food a Cobb Salad! Not Acceptable! I note that the prices have gone up...way up...and the quality has gone down. So...no longer do we plan on eating at this restaurant...they have changed...and not for the better! |
