Amazing food and atmosphere! Had the Live and Give appetizer, Cool Runnings, and the special for the night (chicken with roasted fire tomato sauce and pasta), all of it was delicious! Service was great too!

We had heard GREAT things about this place, and we weren't disappointed. We unfortunately had to wait an hour to get in because it was so packed, but it was well worth the wait. I ordered the "Cool Runnings" (jerk chicken with a mushroom, gouda chipotle sauce). It was out of this world...a meal I won't soon forget. Even the blacks beans were awesome and the pineapple jalapeno salsa too. I wanted to eat every last speck of food. We also had a chocolate peanut butter banana cake for dessert. Delicious. I highly recommend this place!

My dad and I shared the Kingston 12. We paid an extra $1.75 to each have our own side salad and piece of bread and all together it was the perfect amount of food, and sharing made it very affordable. Of course, I'm always sad not to have leftovers! The Kingston 12 was probably one of the best dishes I've eaten, EVER. One of the best things about it was that it had way more shrimp than expected; usually shrimp dishes never have enough, but there were plenty. The vegetables were perfectly crunchy, and the red coconut curry sauce was to die for. Luckily I had just enough bread to wipe up every bit of sauce from the plate when I was done. My only complaint is that there could have been more toasted almonds on top...but not a big deal at all! (I mean really...they're just almonds.) The atmosphere is also great at both locations. Really nice but not too fancy. I always feel awkward in fancy restaurants, and Nine Mile is the perfect balance between casual and fancy. The service was good. In case you couldn't already tell, I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant for any occasion.

When I looked at 9 Miles I think of it like Wal-Mart. It’s got some great deals but you should never expect any service from them.
My Recent visit to 9 miles on evening of Oct 12, 2014 was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had in Asheville to date. I have heard over and over again Asheville is a town that is priced like some upscale city but when it comes to Service they are “0”.
9 miles lived up to that reputation. This is coming from someone who has extensive educational and Industry experience when it comes to Marketing/P.R/Customer service.
I went there with a friend and was told the wait would be about 40 min for a party of 2. They put my name on the waiting list.
We waited patiently outside and after 30 min I even went in to ask the lady who took my reservation to see how long it would take. She replied you are next on the list. I was glad to hear that.
After another 10 to 15 min she came out and told us to have the seat outside where we were standing.
I was very upset at that point for 2 reasons.
1: It was a bit chilly
2: That table for 2 had been open for all that time we had been standing outside.
Clearly I was upset and I asked the lady who took my reservation why she made us wait for 40 min (we stood outside waiting) only to make us site out on a table which had been open all this time ?
She could not give me a clear answer nor did she apologize or even offered to compensate in any way.
We then got this other guy who came to take our order and I once again told him what had happened and made it clear this was a horrible experience.
Once again he said we are not perfect but never once did he offer any form of apology or reasoning as to what had happened.
I have a feeling they jumped us by having this couple who just walked in and were seated inside only to realize we had been waiting all along for 40 min outside the restaurant.
I felt very insulted at this point and lost my appetite. I just ordered a small appetizer to company my friend who ordered a main course meal.
I will never go back to this restaurant even though I am told the Chef in the kitchen does an excellent job. It’s simply not worth the time and money.
Who wants to eat in a restaurant which will put you in bad mood after horrible service like that?
If you still chose to go please remember the Wal-Mart comparison I made earlier.
Go to eat but DON’T EXPECT ANY DECENT SERVICE!!!
