10/15/2015 12:31 amOrdered some rolls here, and each was delicious. Staff was friendly, sake was yummy, and sushi was flavorful. The option for all you can eat for $21.99 is a phenomenal deal. |

08/03/2015 3:33 amWe decided to try a new restaurant that has favorable reviews. We didn't get an opportunity to try the food because we waited over 15 minutes after they brought us drinks and they never came to take our order. When we got up to leave the waitress was apologetic but said she assumed our order was put in. She walked by us several times and didn't bother to check. They still made us pay for the drinks at the end of it. This was a Sunday night, not very busy, so a higher level of service was not an unrealistic expectation. Needless to say we will not be going back if they think that ignoring guests and assuming they are taken care is a way to run a restaurant. I guess the lights not being replaced in their sign is a reflection of how they do business. Very disappointing. |

06/05/2015 11:16 pmI've eaten a little sushi in my day (many thousands of pieces) including Nobu 2x along with lot's of other good to great places around the country. The Ninja All-You-Can-Eat was always an incredible value at $20 with a surprisingly wide range of nigiri and roll choices. Nothing super fancy, and as you would expect it doesn't include sashimi, or some of the more costly cuts like toro, otoro, or enagi, etc. And the AYCE price recently went up to $24, but it's still a great value for all the nigiri and rolls you want, as I easily eat 40-50 pieces, or more in a sitting. Seiku behind the bar works Fr-Tues lunches and always delivers quality sushi and when you sit at the bar he actually offers suggestions which are always spot on. (remember this is for bare bones AYCE sushi folks and you are still getting special suggestions) I recently tried a Phoenix roll (minus cream cheese - cream cheese on sushi? yuck!) made with black rice and it was really good. Black rice had a nice texture and added a faint peanut flavor. Black rice is $2 extra per roll and it's available only every once in a while. But ask for it if you can remember. Seiku, when he has it, has also provided genuine Japanese wasabe (which is soooo much better than the fake wasabe made from reconstituted horse radish powder and green food coloring that get's foisted on us in virtually all sushi restaurants). The experience is a good one and the sushi pretty darned good for AYCE!! Overall a great value! |
