Food:

this restaurant was basically my whole childhood, the people there knew us, and once i got a little lizard and it got stuck to the ceiling. it was there for many years and now the food is bad and it takes forever! i haven't been in a while but i hope they realize that nobody likes it anymore.

Food:

Hipster sushi. More interested in branding than in good sushi.

I had a very unpleasant experience being served by Darryl. He took 30 to 40 mins with numerous prompts to split a bill for us. Why you may ask? Because we were a party of 6 and he knew he was adding an automatic 18% onto the bill regardless of the service. When I confronted him in a reasonable manner, he was very rude and failed to address my complaint. Service is some of worst I've ever had, which is a shame as the food is good.

I have literally never had a less pleasurable restaurant experience. The food was mediocre, and served in very small rolls, which did reflect the price point on the menu. The service was the worst. Our server was slow, inattentive, and forgot my appetizer, which i was only able to inform her of as our rolls were being served 30 minutes after ordering them. Now if the place was busy when I ordered, then I could justify it, but this was not the case. Our server was also a ghost, the only times I saw her were ordering food, bringing food, and bringing the check. I will not be attending this place again, and will continue my search for a pleasant sushi experience in the Uptown area. Ninja Sushi is definitely a place to avoid

The sushi is fine (not great, but fair), and it's nice that they have the kids meal with the toy, but the service is BEYOND horrible. After waiting over 1 1/2 hours with my 2 young kids on a very slow Wednesday night, we opted to leave some ordered items that had not yet arrived off of our meal and we were told that we couldn't do so- since we had ordered it already (even though they never arrived). We were shocked! But what was even better was being harassed and yelled at by the male host as we left. He was too busy watching videos on his iPad to acknowledge us as we were trying to tell him about the service, but then he became so angry at us he FOLLOWED US TO THE CAR! With the kids inside, he continued to yell. It was a horrible experience that we will never, ever repeat again.
