Northern Lights Cafe, Boise, Idaho Restaurant Details

Food:

This is our go-to breakfast spot. Great food and portions big enough that I can't finish. Not sure what the other 1☆ people are ordering but the Caribou Scrambler and Meat Lovers Scrambler are amazing and a lot of food.

This place is terrible!!! Over priced and tiny portions. Manager was very rude! Never going back and telling all of my friends about how bad it was.

The place is ridiculously priced, has small portions and food that leaves a lot to be desired. The manager/cook was not friendly or helpful when attention was brought to this. It is not a good sign when you are greeted by the person in charge with a "what's your problem" statement. I would not recommend this place, and hope that if this is the kind of service they provide the business is only short-lived. The interior of the restaurant smells moldy, and the carpets are stained and dirty. This is the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant and I dine out frequently. If you see any positive reviews it is either the owners or their few friends, anyone that has been there would be wholly disappointed with the food, service and most definitely the prices. The place needs to be thrust into the ash heap of failed restaurants that have systematically screwed their patrons by offering poor service, disappointing food, and prices that are out of this world.

Food:

Hands down the best cafe in Boise. It might not be as trendy as some of the cafes downtown, but this gem is a neighborhood favorite in South East Boise. Great specials, friendly staff, and the best 'coffee shop' coffee around!

Very good food and friendly, helpful service. Primarily "comfort" type of menu but vegetarian choices are available. Pleasant, "neighborhood" feeling.
