"Still hopping after all these years", this UWS seafooder lures "big crowds" for "tasty", "simply grilled" marine cuisine dished up in a "white-tablecloth", "Hamptons-esque" setting; when the "noise level gets too high", insiders escape to the "pleasant" sidewalk seats.

I really enjoyed the Malbec and Sea Bass entree. The atmosphere is very friendly. It's definitely pricey but worth checking out!

I thought I was clever by checking their wine list online prior to our visit so I could do some research and be prepared to order my bottle of choice once we sat down in the restaurant. Unfortunately, I didn't notice that the wine prices for the online menu were for 375 ml (translation, half bottle). You can imagine my surprise when the waiter brought out a mini bottle which barely served 4 people. So the wine that I expected to cost $52 actually cost us $104. When I brought this to our server's attention she brought the manager over to tell us that the wine prices were for 375 ml (half bottles) and that this is clearly stated on the menu! When I checked the wine list I did see what she was talking about although the 375 ml was written in such small print (in a very low lit area) that I would have needed a magnifying glass to pick up on this detail.Worse, her tone of voice suggested consternation that I could not possibly be aware of this. I found this somewhat embarrassing and rude as we were entertaining guests from out of town.

oysters were good everything else was absolutely horrible. chopped liver extruded to look like dog poop on a crostini, Chilean sea bass cooked beyond rubbery, other crostinis were all so salty they made me cringe on my first and only bite. waitress didn't seem concerned that nothing was eaten and proceeded to remove full plates from the table without asking any questions. did tell her the food was awful, no reflection in the check.

Oysters were flavorful. The restaurant is part of a big conglomerate of restaurant, and I think that reflects in the safe but effective stylistic choices in the environment.
