Food:

I really enjoyed the upstairs tavern area. The food and beer was good as usual for an old Chicago.

Well, let me first say that we went upstairs to get some food after the dinning room downstairs had closed. Worst experience of my life. After we stood at the top of the stairs for 5 minutes as three employees looked at us, said nothing , and walked away, we eventually sat ourselves with the bar only 1/4 full. That was just the beginning. Once we sat down we waited for another 10 minutes to get menus only due to the fact that someone else had gone over to the waitress and said we had been sitting there for a while. The menus were then dropped off and we waited another 5 minutes for a different waiter to come take our drink orders, which were promptly brought over. However that was the extent of the "customer service" we received. after waiting patiently for another 20 minutes, not one employee came to our attention to take our order after making eye contact numerous times waving, implying we wanted to order. It was extremely frustrating so we waited another 5 minutes before we decided to leave. On our way out we walked right past the waiter who took our drink order, he made eye contact, but did not say a word. Not a "sorry for waiting," "are you leaving," "have a good night," nothing. I don't even think he remembered that he was serving us. With that all said, it was the worst service I had ever received by a restaurant. Poor management, terrible wait staff, and complete lack of duty as restaurant service employees. Having worked in the industry for years, I would have to say everyone should have been written up, fired, or at least give proper training. I can say other Old Chicago's that I have been to have had decent service. But I will avoid this OC's like the plague. I would review the food but we didn't even get that far... my water tasted good... they couldn't mess that up.

We were looking for Chicago style pizza in Colorado Springs so we decided to try Old Chicago pizza thinking that because of the name it would serve actual Chicago style pizza...WRONG! This is a chain restaurant, so we should have known better. Their "Chicago Style pizza is no more than Pizza Hut Pan pizza. Thus the two-star rating. They really need to google 'Chicago Style Pizza' and educate themselves. The food and service were fine; not great and definitely not what we were looking for.

Don't park in their parking lot if you plan on spending money at both Old Chicago and The Tilted Kilt, or you'll have your car towed. The manager Chad has to be the most moronic donkey, having the audacity to have paying customers' cars towed. YES. PAYING CUSTOMERS' CARS TOWED for also walking to The Tilted Kilt. At least 10 cars in one night. Now we know why there were so many tow trucks sitting there, stalking customers. Shady management using dirty business tactics. Not what my friend and had in mind for her birthday.
