03/04/2015 2:31 pmThis place needs a new chef and a big cleaning. Horrible place now it was a great place years ago. Terrible Terrible Terrible. Would never recommend it or go back unless they renovate and get somebody in there that cares about cooking good food. |

09/23/2013 11:24 amBeautiful views, we probably should have just stayed in the parking lot, taken in the views, then drive to Burger King for dinner. This would have been a huge upgrade over the food served at the Old Dock Inn. Very expensive, service was very slow. Appetizer, salad, and bread all served at the same time. Salad was swimming in the dressing. Figured it was safe to order a dinner special, however I was very disappointed. Lobster was over-cooked, filet mignon had no flavor, steak fires oily. My wife's stuffed flounder was over-stuffed with cheese-type stuffing. Couldn't wait to get out of this place. I would never recommend this place to a soul, living or dead. |

05/26/2010 9:20 amAlthough the location of this historic restaurant overlooking the water is inviting, you will be supremely disappointed if you go in to eat. We felt sorry for the wait staff ( who look depressed just working here) because no matter how good their service is, they can not possibly hope for a decent tip with the extremely poor quality of the food. The owner would rather put a few more pennies in his pocket then serve his customers decent food. The meat is tough and not one of the steaks was cooked to order. The salads are so oily, you wonder why BP did not start drilling here! Seriously, the only reason to go here is if you want to enjoy the sunset from the bar and are willing to pay premium prices for your drinks. Do not try to speak with the owner about your dissatisfaction, he thinks you should consider yourself lucky that he allowed you in HIS ESTABLISHMENT. Its too bad his ego does not extend to the quality of the food he serves. There are so many good restauarnts on the LI waters...DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE! |

04/04/2010 7:24 pmToday is Easter Sunday, April 4 2010 and I just got home from dinner here. I have yet to be so disappointed in such a long time. |

06/20/2007 2:35 pmThis place has an absolutely spectacular view, but the food and service do not stack up. The greek salad was huge and dripping in grease. The "Filet Mignon" was small, fatty, and overcooked. The waitresses all seem depressed and move like glaciers. The bar area is very nice, but pricey. Go for the view and the drinks, but eat somewhere else. |
