05/11/2016 2:07 pmWent for lunch yesterday. They do not have a lunch menu, and were surprised to see us right at 11:30am. Ordered the chicken and dumpling soup and it was like someone put a bouillon cube into some water and then threw a piece of stale bread into it. I had the Burek...ugh. Did not like it. My daughter-in-law had the Mediterranean stuffed peppers, and the pepper was raw. My son had a pork sandwich, which was 2 slices of pork on a bun with some grilled onions...nothing else. On top of this, we were there an hour before we were served our meals, and we were the only customers in the entire restaurant. I don't think they normally have customers for lunch, as they seem totally unprepared for us. If you don't want to be open for lunch, then don't advertise that you're open for lunch! The bread and cheese spread we received while waiting for our meals was the only good part of the experience. Poor service, poor quality. Would not recommend this place. |

12/02/2015 9:26 pmTook my mother out to this restaurant. Interesting location inside an older building- has distinctive Balkan charm inside, along with a strong scent of apples and cinnamon (I will not forget that scent). Very good service and excellent food- I recommend the Sarma and the Burek. Grab a Jelen beer while you're at it too. Made me want to take a little vacation to the Balkans. |

11/26/2015 1:52 amThe place was freezing and it is run down/dirty. I am from that part of the world and the food is embarrassingly bad. The Kajmak is just butter/cream cheese mix, not even close. |

12/01/2014 4:27 pmWhen we have family from out of town visiting, this is one of their favorite places to dine. You sort of have to get over the fact that the building looks like it hasn't been updated since they moved in but that's the Old Town charm. We have several kids in our group and the owners have never-minded them sort of moving about or dancing along with the musicians. This is a sit down have conversation don't be in a hurry kind of place and enjoy the food. I recommend the spinach burek I buy a whole one just for myself and generally take a piece or two home. |
