We sat outside tonight in the limited but very nice outside seating. The food was delicious, especially the mushroom dish. The service was fast, friendly and helpful with recommendations.

This place does a lovely brunch in a comfy and unpretentious environment, with some fresh Mediterranean spins on old favorites as well as some more unexpected dishes like the Spanish poutine. The tsatsiki and herbed yogurt are much recommended side choices. Staff are friendly, too, so bam.

Olea is great for brunch before visiting the Brooklyn Flea or for happy hour and dinner after a long work day. The cocktails are thoughtfully created by their bartenders and every plate is sure to satisfy.

I'm a big fan of their various dips, particularly the tzatziki and skordalia.

Olea is an amazing tapas restaurant with a Mediterranean influence. Inside is warm, cozy and very inviting. I especially love their style and decorations. For starters, they bring you out a nice bread basket with olive oil to dip in. What a great way to begin a meal. They also have a decent happy hour with options of ritas, sangria and red/white wine for all those vino lovers.

Like any tapas place, the small plates can get a bit pricey but they're worth the cost. I've tried most of their menu and over time have identified a few favorites. I highly recommend the: Almond Stuffed Bacon Wrapped Dates, Spanish 'Pitza', Fried Chickpeas, Patatas Bravas and the Spicy Feta Dip. All amazing choices and will certainly fill you up. Olea sure knows how to make their food flavorful!

There are many reasons to love Olea, but the thing that makes me happiest about the fact that it's in my hood is that it's good for so many different occasions: happy hour dates, girls' brunch, dinner with the folks, lunchtime laptopping...it somehow feels comfortable for all of these things, which is rare.

And the food! It's consistent and delicious! I think it's best to share some of the Mediterranean tapas and perhaps a salad or main. I highly recommend the Beef Meatballs. If you're there for dinner, don't miss the spanish pizza. The haloumi cheese over romescu sauce are hits, too.

Brunch is also great. I'm in love with the lamb sandwich. Plus, their red and white Sangria is great.

Downsides: occasionally snooty service/hosts.

"Delicious", "ambitious" tapas and a "dream"-worthy brunch "bring the Mediterranean" – and "the masses" – to this "inviting" Fort Greene "mainstay"; it boasts a "BAM-convenient" address, "charming" service and "gentle" live music – but just go "off-peak" to avoid a "wait."
