02/16/2013 10:09 pmWe actually ate here twice during our most recent week in Nola. We liked it so much we went back with more guests later the same week. Excellent food in a small, casual cottage setting way uptown. Very good server who remembered us and even remembered my drink. Very helpful in selecting food for a young person in our group who is a picky eater. LOVED the crab cakes, tomatoes 3 ways, sashimi, short ribs. Could go on and on! I will return next time. |

08/17/2011 3:03 amI love this place! The first time I went it was good but nothing amazing. I decided to go back and I'm ecstatic that I did! I got fried soft shell crab on top of herbed risotto with a bacon and chanterelle sauce. It should have been way too rich and heavy but somehow, it was NOWHERE near that. The crab was light and the breading was not heavy or greasy at all. The risotto could not have had anymore flavor in every single bite. And a sauce made from smoky bacon and flavorful, meaty mushrooms, well, it just speaks for itself. A great place for a romantic date or any other occasion. If you sit at the bar, you can see the kitchen and your food being made, which is a really cool experience. |

05/21/2010 3:38 amWe had dinner there during the Jazz Festival, April 21st - The service was great and attentive. We had fried soft shell crab with crawfish beurre blanc that was excellent and copious. The Cochon de Lait (suckling pig) with stoned ground grits: Succulent. For dessert we had the strawberry shortcake and creme brulee. Both were delicious! I highly recommend this address for authentic food and great service! We had gone to Commanders Palace the night before and felt that Ones food not only rivaled Commanders but Ones service surpassed it, without the exorbitant prices that other restaurant charge! |
