A local favorite for sure! Good Italian food and good service. These place has been in Lubbock for years and is always busy, give it a try.

tl;dr Completely underwhelming.

I've lived in Lubbock for years and have heard quite a few people talk about Orlando's but never visited until last week. I was expecting a great experience but I'd say it failed in almost every way.

1) The wait was terrible. Granted, we had a large-ish party but we waited over 90 minutes for our tables.
2) The slow service continued when it came time to order and for our food to come out. I didn't clock this one but it was well over 30 minutes before we had our food.
3) The food itself was bland and unimpressive to say the least. It was overloaded with anise (I think that's it) and reminded me of when I was college age, eating Chef Boyardee. The garlic bread was overcooked and I've had better store bought frozen.

The lone positive is half the workers seemed to be really trying and were apologetic for the wait times. I think they and the kitchen were overworked and so I can't fault them so much for the wait.

Best most unique Italian food in town. Some extremely interesting and unique dishes you won't find at any other Italian style place or anywhere else.
Oddly they have the best individual burger in town, cheeseburger in paradise.

I loved the "down and dirty" tortellini, it comes in mild to nuclear, beware it is no joke when it comes to the heat ;) I also had the cannelloni, mama Mia, it's probably my new favorite dish!!! Very friendly staff and casual atmosphere, perfect for family night or a date.
