Just one of the many Japanese restaurants in the Japantown mall. This is one of the ones that has the plastic replicas of dishes in the window. The food here is alright. Portions are huge though, so that could be a deciding factor. Karaage was pretty good.

It was an alright place, comparible in quality to those around it. HOWEVER, the staff there treated me terribly. Just because I did not give them a tip that was as high as they wanted (due to a mix up), they were very rude to me. They told me right in my face "do not come back again" after questioning what was wrong. If I had known that the staff there would be like that, I would have gone to another restaurant. Any of the other restaurants in the building would have been just as good, if not better. And I wouldn't have to be stuck with ungrateful hosts who believe a tip is required, guaranteed, and think it is acceptable to confront a customer about.

Bottom line: average food, shitty staff. Spend your money elsewhere, you can find a better place just a few feet away.

Food:
- Dragon roll - very large with 2 tempura shrimp (unfortunately they seemed pre-fried/stale)
- Bean sprout udon in miso broth - they certainly added a lot of bean sprout on top of the original ingredients of the soup. The udon was a bit over cooked though, I also tried ramen which was cooked better. The broth is a lighter one - I don't think it was pork bone based.

Wow the rudeness. Never happened anywhere else but on a 138 post tax bill, we left 21$ tip with coins then had an ice cream for 2.7$ so the in the end we were exactly at 15% of the pretax bill. Multiple waiters took turns to come back after leaving the money to see if we left the right amount and the last one made a huge "oh WOW" to make sure we were thoroughly disgusted when we're leaving.

I expect them to show more basic respect even if I jumped over the counter and tried to steal their money from the register. To think they were on the verge of physically attacking us for having left a 15% tip absolutely shocks me that any of their waiters are still employed.

One of my favorite places that my family and friends love to go to for delicious japanese food. The price is a little high but the quality is worth it. The portions are big and the service is fast. You never have to wait more then 15 minutes for your food to arrive.
