Osteria Fraschetti, Ocean City, Maryland Restaurant Details

Now called Alex's Italian Restaurant. Visited one night while we were staying at the campground on Assateague. Started out good until our server disappeared for 20 minutes, leaving us waiting for our entrees and other customers even waiting to order. The hostess was running around the whole section apologizing and trying to keep things moving, but we got missed completely. When the food finally came it was just ok and daughter was not a big fan of her lasagna which I chalked up to her picky eating habits until she asked us to pull over on the way back and promptly threw up on the side of the road. Would not visit again.

Food wasn't that great first time I went there and I could here the next table clear across the room but the place is set up nicely, might give it a second chance if service wasn't as rude

The most fabulous eating experience we've ever had let alone in Ocean City! The owner treated us like family & our waiter showered us w/ attention! Every single thing we all ordered was terrific! Calamari, Clams, a very special Italian Sea Bass deboned tableside by the owner, veal saltimbocca, veal picatta, eggplant, smith island style cake...all outstanding. This will now be our new favorite ocean city dinner destination!

Restaurants in and around Ocean City MD are at best mediocre.
A real find has been Osteria Frashetti in West Ocean City,MD.
Traditional Italian dishes done to perfection. Great service and very reasonable prices. Everything is cooked to order, no pre-cooked pastas here! Tender Primo Veal, great Steaks, cooked to your spec's. Red Sauce ( Gravy to us Italians) is fresh to the taste and not salty. All 6 dishes we had were hot and presented well. The appetizers were perfect and plentiful. Alex the owner is always there to check on you at the table.

My husband and I have been here several times and have always found the cuisine, atmosphere and service to be excellent. The dinners are reasonably priced and are authentically Italian. The restaurant has 3 separate dining areas: one has booths and a bar area; another is a more formal dining area; and the third dining area is a bit less formal with tables as well as booths. Give this establishment a try and I am sure you will be repeat customers like us!
