As good as any other. Outdoor seating was very nice!

I don't get to dine out much due to crazy kids schedules and work but my husband and I finally got some time to ourselves and decided to go to the outback in Durham. I had a great experience! I felt very welcomed at the door as the host opened the door and directed me to the host stand. They were on a 20 minute wait and we were hesitant to stay. The host seemed to notice my uncertainty and offered the bar area which was first come first serve. So we decided to wait on one of those tables. As we were waiting they passed out samples of food that was very tasty and I got to try some new things. We got a table in the lounge and had great service and it was quick. It was nice not having to ask for a drink refill as they did this automatically when my glass wasn't even half empty. Our server recommended the prime rib "Outback Style" and it was great!!! My husband got their new salmon and shrimp dish and got a strong margarita for only $4! I was really pleased when the proprietor
of the rstaurant Tracy personally came to make sure everything was perfect for us that evening. It was a lovely dinner. Once my husband and I get some time to ourselves again I am sure we will be returning to the Outback!

Waited 25 mins after being seated, no service so we left.

Happened on Saturday, December 28th at dinner time.

So we hopped into this place just before 5pm (4:50pm) on saturday. I know the time exactly because we checked the watch before entering the place and were happy that we will be able to beat the rush hour. The place was not even half packed.

After being seated, it was like we were completely forgotten. No one came over to even take our drink orders, let alone the main meal order. At about 5:20, we walked over to the main desk, complained that no one had taken our order. The receptionist offered us to talk to the manager and tried to offer some incentives, but I was note going to order food at a restaurant after complaining about the service.

So left the place, went to their competitor across the street. Prompt service over that place.

In short horrible service at this outback.

Stinks.... Literally the smell as you walk in the door makes you seriously doubt this restaurants cleanliness. Sitting at the bar I had poor service and couldnt take the smell.

My boyfriend and I ordered online takeout from the Outback and it was a disappointing experience. They forgot to include a side order of green beans and the slice of cheesecake that cost $5.00 was a tiny sliver. It seems like they think they can short customers just because they are not eating in the restaurant. This will be the last time we eat/order from this Outback. Very disappointing.
Update: The lobster tail that was ordered was grey and green and fishy smelling so needless to say we called the Outback to speak with the manager. She kindly offered to redo the meal or send a comp card in the mail. We appreciate the reimbursement but are still hungry:(
