BEST SUNDAY BRUNCH AROUND!!!!
Being Italian I am VERY picky when it comes to eating out Italian.
Paparazzi has the best Italian food that I have had while living in the Raleigh area.

We were seated very quickly. The food was great. The clam appetizer was amazing. I made them leave the bowl so I could dip the crust of the meat pizza in, which was outstanding. Last had the semifreddo. I ate every bite. I can not say enough about the food. I'm going to remember this meal for a while. The prices were very fair considering the quality of the food. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I'm not usually one to review restaurants because I typically enjoy some aspects of places I go to, but honestly, I'm only giving this restaurant one star because I have NO other choice. I went here yesterday with a group of my friends for our senior prom. We had made reservations two weeks prior for 11 people, so I assumed we would all be able to sit together. I was wrong, however, because as soon as we arrived, the hostess refused to move one extra table together so our RESERVED party was not able to sit all together. I would understand this had the restaurant been busy, but there were maybe only 6 tables full. Aside from the lack of accommodations, the food was less than desirable. I ordered the fish of the day, which I was completely okay with it being at market place value, but I got 4 scallops and a fourth of a cup of highly garlic-y rice for $27, Really? I would've rather paid that much money for a steak, and I don't even like steak. At least I would've been full. It also was not only my meal that was lacking, for my friend ordered a salmon dish; I did not see any salmon because the amount given was so small. After I finished my meal, which took around 5 minutes to eat because there was so little, I ordered a dessert in hopes of filling myself up before my friends and I left for prom. The dessert, the triple chocolate mousse, I promise you, was bigger than my main entree. Overall, I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. I think it is ridiculous to pay that much money for the amount of food you can eat in one bite.

I have been driving by Lafayette Village for 3 years, and never knew this place existed. I was going to eat at the Japanese place, but when I parked in the back, I discovered Paparazzi and decided to try it with my girlfriend. I ordered a pork chop with garlic mashed and vegetables, and my girlfriend order Chicken Parmigiana. Both were delicious. I also ordered a dinner to go with 2 desserts, and my girlfriend and I both had one alcoholic drink each. My bill came out to about $89.00, not including tip. I thought that was pretty reasonable for all the food we received. I liked it so much, I went back with my husband and another girlfriend.

When my girlfriend and I went the first time, the place was empty because we went early, but the place was filled when we left. The ambience is great, and the waiter we had was terrific.

The second time we went, it was packed. They were polite and asked if we had reservations, and we said no. They stated we can sit outside on the patio, or in the back of the restaurant by the bar. It was still part of the restaurant. The owner, I think his name was Joe, came up and was speaking with us. We loved him. I have to admit the service wasn't the greatest because they were slammed, but well worth waiting for. I ordered the sliced duck, which was delicious, my girlfriend had the pasta Bolognase, and my husband had the Chicken Osso Bucco. All our meals were delicious.

I am from New York, and I know good food. I don't know why this restaurant is getting slammed with bad reviews.

Don't let these bad reviews sway you away from this wonderful Italian restaurant. Now that my husband and I know it's there, we will be eating there whenever we can.

I don't know where some of the folks giving Paparazzi a bad review were eating, but it certainly wasn't the Paparazzi Restaurant in Lafayette Village in North Raleigh. We have been eating there for several years, and I consider it to be the best restaurant in Raleigh, if not the whole state. Great lunches for $11 which include an entree and 2 sides. Dinner is always great, with fabulous appetizers. And no, George Woods, they do not charge for refills...My wife and I have NEVER had a bad meal there. And the service is impeccable. Out favorite place to eat.
