After a lovely time enjoying the orchids at the Botanical Gardens how can you miss not enjoying some good Italian cuisine on Arthur Blvd?

We were hungry and it was early so many of the restaurants weren’t open yet for dinner service. Luckily Pasquale was open and menu satisfied everyone.

The restaurant looked much bigger with the mirrored wall and pleasant interior. Our peppy server was funny and ready to take our order. We had the veal and lamb shank entrée and my other friend had the pasta and calamari. The pasta cooked al dente and the shanks was tender and well seasoned.
All the entrees could easily be shared by two people.

It was a good day in the Bronx. Lots of flower photography and a satisfying Italian dinner. Now it was time to get back on the train head home.

This is the real deal! Staff were gracious and accommodating. It was very busy, but they were speaking Italian with my uncle and there was no rush or pressure.
The food is true southern Italian, The warm bread and cold plate of antipasto (cheeses, sun roasted tomatoes and peppers, mushrooms, Genoa salami, brichole, etc) was fresh, tasty, and enough for 3.
I ordered gnocchi Bolognese , little potato filled dumplings with a tremendous meat sauce. More meat than sauce and more than i could eat at once. (We all had doggie bags!)
My aunt had veal Franchese and a giant salad. I tasted the veal and it was brilliant. Light, not gamey, and sauteed in white wine, butter and herbs. I almost regretted my order it was that good!
My uncle had steak, linguine with clam sauce, and a raddiccio salad that was crunchy, savory, and huge. To the person complaining that she only got vinegar and oil with it - That's Italian!!
A huge piece of Italian cheese cake that i couldn't finish but had to taste, cappuccino & espresso, and my uncle's tiramisu, it was perfection. Almost forgot the vino! The bottle of Merlot was light and warm, a terrific companion for hearty Italian fare.
Bravo! Delicioso!
Viva Arthur Avenue!

50 years a new yorker, first time to Arthur Ave. This restaurant was truly authentic Italian, a dying breed. Fresh cheeses, great bread and pasta, huge selection, friendly welcoming family feel. Fun night all around, private parking lot a huge bonus. Definitely will be going back.

Awful. We went on a Tuesday night and found the food and service disappointing. Our Radicchio salad was just a pile of chopped radicchio drizzled with oil and vinegar. The Eggplant Parmesan was good but the Gnocchi Bolognese were awful - so soggy they were almost slimy. They were also very salty and our waiter disappeared; I had to leave the table twice to find someone to refill my water glass. With a half-carafe of house wine, the bill was $75. Needless to say, we will not being going back.
