Tip: A stellar Italian choice in Boston and a great value to boot. The veal scappolini and seafood pasta are among the best I've had and the tiramisu is decadent.

I can't describe my experience as I have called 5 times to make a reservation and they don't have voice mail, and you can't leave a message. You don't even know if you are calling the right place as voice mail is unavailable. You try to book online, but the link is broken. Horrible in my opinion, they obviously don't care about customer service. I will bring my group of 10 elsewhere...there are plenty of nicer places to eat in Boston and I can actually speak to someone who will take my reservation! After reading the reviews, I will not even try reserving there again, my money will be obviously spent better elsewhere. Frustrated.

We had a 7:30 reservation and arrived promptly on a Saturday night. The hostess, who was very nice, told us it would be a few more minutes. No problem- it was a beautiful summer evening. She kept coming out updating us saying she was waiting for a party to leave. After 45 minutes or so, we were told we could sit at the bar as the seating for tables is VERY limited. We were offered a bottle of spring water for our "trouble". I then asked if we could eat at the bar since we were starving and nobody was getting up. They said it was fine. I asked if they could make a shrimp francese. Three different people checked with the chef and I was told "Yes"! I then asked if I could order a potato and vegetable instead of the pasta. Two people checked and said I could. I was asked if I like fingerling potatoes. Great! Now a table opens up so we are moved from the bar to the table. My food arrives and it looks EXACTLY like shrimp scampi in a big bowl of pasta! I assume I got the wrong order and told the waitress. She takes it back to the chef who tells her "No-that is shrimp francese". Now I consider myself to be a pretty good cook and have Italian heritage and have made francese dishes SEVERAL times. There was NO BATTER on my shrimp what so ever. It was plain bland shrimp. SO I am stuck with the plain bland shrimp dish. I ask where my potatoes are 20 minutes later and was told they don't have fingerling potatoes. My side came- a few overcooked pieces of asparagus with red peppers. The waitress and hostess seemed appalled at the terrible time I was having and were very apologetic. The waitress says she is comping my meal. Great news since I barely touched it. The bill arrives with a $7.95 charge for my "side". WTF? I ordered a side instead of the pasta that I got anyway. They took that off reluctantly. The guy behind the bar was yelling at the hostess for something and I was disgusted with him.I guess a HUGE red flag would have been there was NO line at this North End restaurant on a Saturday night that has about 6-8 tables tops! The food was pretty bland. My friend got the chicken parm that he said was full of breading and tasteless. Note to self-NEVER GO BACK!! I tipped the hostess on the way out and thanked her for her kindness and felt bad that she worked in a place where she was humiliated in front of the patrons .

Very adequate. Not bad, not great. Overpriced for what I got.
