Audrey Saunders' SoHo temple to the "science of haute cocktails" "lives up to its reputation" with a "can't-go-wrong" drink menu "cleverly concocted" by "experienced" hands behind the bar; nestled in a "swanky" upstairs space that transports you to a "former British colony", it's an "expensive" but "fantastic" place to socialize or take a "dressed-up date."

Sunday nights are great here because they have a live jazz trio or quartet and the ambiance is excellent! Drinks here are unique and delicious. Small plates are expensive, but good. They do not serve meals, so don't come hungry, but it is a cocktail paradise. Also, a dimly lit room makes for a cozy atmosphere.

On Sundays, Glenn Cryter performs with his band. The jazz music and ambiance is wonderful. Pegu is the perfect, cozy spot for jazz music in New York City.

Excellent cocktails, great surroundings and very pleasant service! Look for the small door as it's hard to find but worth hunting for!

I come to Pegu for their early Sunday jazz evenings.

It's a nice lounge set up in a railroad style. There are semi-private booths at the entrance as you walk up the stairs and a long bar with mixologists. The drinks are well made and have a touch of class. It is not a place for cheap drinks. Their food is also delicious and comes prepared as if from a proper kitchen rather than from a place that serves "bar food"

It's a place for a small intimate group of friends or a nice date spot.

Have spent two birthdays here! This past Saturday I was able to spend an amazing birthday here with friends. The warm and inviting atmosphere made my birthday extra special. Wonderful drinks, ambiance and music. Look forward to going back again with friends.
