I'm a tough food critic and sincerely their food is really good. I always get the shrimp sizzling rice soup which has crunchy veggies and shrimp. The broth is good and for the amount you get, the price is right! chow main and sweet and sour shrimp is a plus... if your passing through the area and want good chinese food at an affordable price, this is the place :)

Miss the original owners just simply because they had the best pot stickers in Bakersfield. now they are pre made frozen like you buy at the store : ( other than that excellent service.

Last July I was passing by Bakersfield for a business trip. I ordered potstickers and the Happy Family for my dinner. The potstickers were incredibly delicious. They were the best potstickers I had ever had.
Last July I was passing by Bakersfield for a business trip. I ordered potstickers and the Happy Family for my dinner. The potstickers were incredibly delicious. They were the best potstickers I had ever had.

After the dinner, I asked the chef Steve how to judge the quality of potsticker. He simply replied that crispy wrap and smooth filling were the key factors. I mentioned to him that the potstickers were browned only one side, instead of being browned all around like fried wontons. He explained that was the authentic way to cook potstickers to keep them crispy and juicy. The all around browned poststickers were prepared for mass production or fast food business.

I miss the potstickers and will come back again for them!

This restaurant is amazing! I have been going since I was 8 years old and whenever I think Chinese food, I think Peking Palace. The orange and sesame chicken are amazing and the beef with broccoli is excellent as well. If you want a fun dinning experience I recomend this restaurant!
