Petra Restaurant, Memphis, Tennessee Restaurant Details

For the area that it is in it is NOT worth the $$. I spend $10 on one gyuro and that is it. I can walk to 6 different restaurants and get more bang for my buck.

Visited the Germantown location for lunch, have been numerous times and love the food.
There is a serious customer service problem that needs to be addressed if this location is going to be a success. After putting a Groupon on the table, the waitress walked away and then came back and asked when we bought it, it was not expired. Made us feel like we had done something wrong.

After enjoying our lunch, she never returned with the check. We were going to order baklava, waited and waited, even stacking our lunch plates and putting them to the side. The other woman behind the counter went out the back door looking around. After a few more minutes, she came over, put a check on our table and walked away without any comment.

A few minutes later, our waitress came in the back door and the woman asked our waitress where she had been. She said "sitting in my car." No one aplogized for the wait or asked if we wanted anything else..

Our waitress finally came and took the credit card, no apology or comment.

We enjoyed our lunch, but this was not a pleasant experience. We felt that we were bothering them and not welcome at all.

The best restaurant in midtown by far. I was very impressed with the quality of the ingredients. The service was quick, the prices reasonable, and the food excellent. I recommend this to anyone appreciating good Mediterranean food.
