06/08/2015 8:17 pmWe went to Petrini's as a family. My mom had the Penne pasta with the sauteed mushrooms and garlic and Parmesan and says it was amazing. My sister had spaghetti pasta with marinara and Italian sausage and said it was wonderful. My brother-in-law had the burger and it was gone in no time it tasted so good! I had the Canoli which was wonderful and hot. We also had the cheesy garlic bread and sampler platter both of which were divine. The garlic bread wasn't real garlicky but was great with the sauces. The kids had a variety of pastas and pizzas all of which they devoured. The food was great! The service was OK. We only had our waters refilled when we asked and she seemed a bit put off when we walked in (as we were, like, the only ones there). Overall, I could definitely see us visiting this place again. |

04/18/2015 10:56 pmAverage at best. The garlic bread (french bread) wasn't fresh or good. Hoped fresh bread to dip in oil, not to be found here. Service was slow. Water was only filled if we asked. |

08/01/2014 1:52 amOne of the things I like best is that it is possible to order half-orders of the pasta. I have tried the Manicotti, sauteed mushrooms, and something else my friend ordered that was good but I forget what it was. Their garlic bread is different with no cheese and some herbs instead; I liked it but my friend didn't. I will definitely give them another try if I am in the area. |

11/15/2013 1:20 amStopped here when I visited San Diego because it was close to my hotel. Absolutely loved this restaurant. I had the lasagna and was particularly happy that the menu gave the option of ordering a half portion, since I can rarely finish a big meal. The lasagna came out piping hot and was delicious, with a rich sauce that had a clear taste of nutmeg. Service was very good and the person who waited on me was pleasant without being overly intrusive. I'd be a regular at Petrini's if I lived in San Diego and will definitely go back the next time I am town. |
