10/04/2015 11:42 pmOktoberfest. Dinner for 3 at 7pm. Could not get service, said he'd bring bread but did not. Asked for a go box, instead went in back, then took another tables order, bused another table then chatted it up with the table next to us. We asked again for a box and check, then he brought them and disappeared again. We went to the bar to pay for the meal and the girl took out her tip from another order before giving us our change. We paid $70 for 3 entrees and a beer. The food was mediocre, and they were not busy. That should have been our first clue. Skip this place.~ |

08/07/2014 4:57 pmI LOVE this place!!!!! I'm pretty picky and I eat at the Bierstube pretty much once a week (I love hanging out there on Friday nights when they have Renate who sings German favorites and Frank who plays accordion.) The food is seriously good. Favorites include the pot roast sandwich with Gruyere cheese and the Rouladen and the German style potato salad. They just added a few new menu items too that I can't wait to try! My current favorite beer there is the Shefferhoffer (Grapefruit flavored!) Also in the winter time nothing hits the spot like a bowl of the goulash soup (it's like a hearty beef stew). |

06/25/2014 3:01 pmThe Bierstube is still a great place to watch a soccer match over a cold beer. Their selection of German drafts is as good as it always has been. The food in the kitchen took a pretty good turn for the worse. I brought my kids in a few weeks ago, since last visiting the Bierstube a few years ago, and was disappointed with our meals. Kind of like what you'd get at a fun park. A quiet place for a cold one and a game though; good as ever. |
