Pizza Hut, Toledo, Ohio, Family Style Restaurant Details

Food:

Order Chicken Alfredo. It was a dry sticky mess. I asked for some Alfredo sauce but the cook said he didn't have any. So the food was terrible, and the service was just as bad. Pizza Hut is the best down south. I suppose I am over it now though YUK!

Food:

My wife and I had a pleasant dinner with Book It! Personal Pan Pizzas for our two kiddos tonight. Our waitress, Jasmine, was pleasant and our food was hot and tasted good. Our bill was $12 less than it normally would have been due to the coupons we used, so I tipped $5.10 on $12.80.

When my wife and I got home (we drove separate cars), she asked if I had the leftover pizza, but I thought she had taken it from the table. Then I remembered that as I was leaving with my son, our waitress came between the table and me to retrieve the bill so I couldn't have seen the box anyway.

Heading back to the store, I called to give the Pizza Hut team a heads up that we were coming back for our boxed pizza. Harrison, the manager on duty, explained that the waitress had bussed our table and had thrown the pizza away. Harrison also informed me that it was not his fault, or the waitress's fault, and there was nothing he could do.

I asked him if he had been a manager long, to which he answered that he had been managing there a year. I told him that after 16 years of customer service in restaurants, that I've never turned away a customer who came back for his leftovers empty handed. We always replaced their disappointed faces with a hot new plate. After all, what is $5-$10 out of pocket and a happy, satisfied customer worth? It's priceless. But instead, he insisted there was nothing he could do and I could have a conversation with his manager, Carolyn, in the morning.

I plan on simply reporting to Carolyn what happened with as little emotion as possible, but also share that they just lost a family who drives almost 20 minutes once a month to sit down at their establishment.

In short: good food, bad managing and bad customer service.

I really enjoyed all of my experiences here yhe food was delicious and the staff was extreamly nice and the managers were very appriciative when i told them how much i enjoyed my time there... I highly recommend stopping in if u have the chance

Called to place a take out order. Was put on hold for 6 mins and 20 seconds. Someone finally answered but the background noise was so loud he had to put me on hold again. 3 mins and 10 seconds later someone FINALLY took my order. I asked the manager how long the average wait time is between placing a call and taking an order. He said well sometimes calls go straight through to an answering service and we don't get the calls right away. I then told him I've been on the phone now for 9 mins and 30 second. He said well I'm sorry do you want to cancel your order? I expected maybe a...wow yeah that's a long time. I'll make sure we look into this...or even I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Nope he would rather lose business rather than simply own up to maybe something being wrong with their phone system! Boo no breadstick for me tonight : (

Terrible service when calling them they acted like they didn't want to even take my order then when the food came it was delivered late then on top of that the pizza crust was so hard and burnt you couldn't even chew it.. They need new workers and management at that location and if not close the store down..
