07/22/2011 4:02 pmPortofino is my favorite resturant in the city!!! Lobster ravioli is outstanding! Clams are delicious, dessert is great. Prices are very reasonable! The owner Ralph is a great guy and the service is wonderful, waiters & waitresses are very upbeat! There is always great specials and the drinks are made to perfection. Please take my advice and come to Portofino for a fabulous meal! |

10/05/2010 2:05 pmMy husband and I went here before Jersey Boys. When the table next to us finally got their food the owner said to them - "Don't worry you'll make the show." We told him we were going as well, but did not have our food. (It was 7:20 -the show started at 8:00). He told us we should have gone to McDonald's if we wanted our food quicker. As we were getting ready to leave at 7:30 (after waiting for our food for one hour) our food arrived. We ate quickly, paid, and hustled to the show. Don't waste your time on this place. Some of the wait staff was rude and the owner was extremely rude! |

11/14/2009 5:57 pmI heard a commercial on the radio for this restaurant and decided to take my girlfriend here for our anniversary. I made reservations and was informed to park in a certain parking lot so that I could receive a discount on my parking. From the moment we arrived till walking out the door, we were taking care of. My girlfriend loved the ambiance and wine, I loved the food and prices. It was a great date, and best of all didn’t break my pocket. |

10/04/2009 7:27 pmAlthough the food, ambience and location are all excellent, it is let down by a staff that mostly seems to be condescending towards (casual, maybe not regular) customers, Not overtly, but a kind of subtle, passive-aggresive contempt. Subtle, but unmistakable. We had two experiences there recently; liked the food so much that, in spite of the service, went back a second time, But alas, it was confirmed. A funny culture, or bad management, that somehow leads their staff to look down on their customers. And it is not just us; we noticed it with most cutomers. What a shame, spoiling what could otherwise be a really nice restaurant. |

08/25/2008 6:45 amFood is great, along with their presentation. The wine list is also very good. The ambience is amazing, perfect setting for a romantic meal. The servers are around, however, they aren't stalkerish/annoying. Love this place, and I spend most of my special occaisons there. |
