Pyramid is yummy and reasonably priced considering it is food in Hawaii. Everything I've tried has been quite tasty but especially the spanakopita, reiash (lamb ribs) and the kebbeh. I'm not qualified to rank its ethnic authenticity but it tastes good. However, there is often only one or two waitresses (they haven't hired enough help) so unless it's really slow when you go in you might be in for an annoying wait to get served while the waitress (or two) run through themselves trying to get to everyone. To their credit they do as well as they can.

I was in Honolulu for a summer. This place was delicious. I went for the lunch buffet many times and dinner a couple of times. The lunch buffet offers many options along with the dinner menu and is reasonably priced. The staff was pleasant, I loved the atmosphere and the food was really, really good. I would defiantly recommend this to anyone in the area. Love it!!!

I read the reviews of the restaurant before visiting, so I didn't want to go but I had to go with my class. first when u arrive the restaurant looks from the outside rundown, inside it was better. the service was okay, it migth have to do with the fact that our teacher knew the owner. the food itself, was not good at all, the meat seems poor cooked, the salad without much taste. the price was really VERY overpriced for what we got. people in the group seems to agree on this statement. I read the positive reviews of the place, I suspect the owner himself of writing that. the dancer seem also out of touch, she looked more like a prostitute then a belly dancer

Wow! What a terrible experience! Probably one of the worst restaurants I've been to. The food was rotten, overpriced, and under portioned. It amazes me that anyone could have given this place more than two stars. Next time anyone visits, please try to notice the produce and the rice. The lettuce that came with my falafel was rotten, (and i mean rotten!) If my girlfriend hadn't pointed it out I would have gotten food poisoning. The falafel plate itself comes with four tiny pieces of pita bread for six falafel, making it hardly an enjoyable dish (4 pita to 6 falafel ratio is just inconsiderate, no thank you! I will have to pass on their generous offer of charging me more for additional pita's.) On top of that store bought pita's! And they charged $7.95 for that appetizer!

The rice pyramid was novel at best. It was dry and I am sure was leftover from yesterday or the day before, and the portion was not anywhere near enough for the main course. I had the tomato okra dish that tasted "soooooo bland!" Alone the spices, produce, and sauce could have created something tasty but instead came to us tasting of sock. It was coupled with a salad that was rotten and tasted like it was three days old, (which we had to send back, and it didn't seem like too much of a surprise to the waitress that it was rotten, sketchy enough.)

EVERYTHING tasted disgusting, but the okra reminded me of a stew that was sitting in your fridge for five days, overcooked and under seasoned that you decided to eat because you were broke. Imagine this tomato okra tasted like it was boiled for wayyyyyy too long. Step 1: boiling out all of the flavor. Step 2: Boiling it beyond any reasonable measure. Step 3 freeze and reheat in a microwave, then serve to customers for aboutttt $16.

Nothing in that dish was fresh in any way shape or form (did they serve me leftovers?) $15.95 for a thoughtlessly made, rotten dish.

Total price for a small meal: $26.00

For that price I could have had a memorable dinner. It inspires me though, to make a new Restaurant: "The Dumpster!!! My motto: 2 stars- better than Pyramids!"

We got there and there was no parking available. So we decided to get take out. We waited for at least ten minutes for someone to get us a menu even though it was clearly not busy at all. There was only one person that was manning the front of the restaurant. The menu had very limited choices. We placed our order and waited about 15 minutes before they gave us the bill. We used a gift certificate that was recently given to us and they did not want to accept it even though it was issued by them. The cashier went to talk to the manager and she came back saying it was expired.(?) There was no expiration on the certificate so we told her that and she stood her ground and said the manager will not accept it. The manager never even came out to talk to us. Wow, I've never experienced this type of bad service where an establishment won't accept their own gift certificates!!!??
