One of my favorite coffee shop and community spaces in Baltimore. It's welcoming, has lots of seats, and the prices are very reasonable. You see people reading, studying, chatting, and holding group events. Once in a while they have talks and film screenings. Great place for working or people watching.

One of those wide open industrial spaces that's the opposite of cozy.

I'd be much happier if not given trouble for having a support animal.
But the coffee was good the time that we were actually served without hassle.

This place combines Baltimore pride, vegetarian food and ethically sourced coffee. Also, the architecture isn't bad either!

The coffeeshop/bookstore/infoshop/free school is housed in an old pharmacy/market. There are a lot of tables, but they do fill up during lunch time. Lots of people sit alone, so you can always try to share! It's a great way to make new friends!

The food is all vegetarian, lots of vegan baked goods, and worker-owned beer and wine. They do a good brunch on weekends, too. They have an in-house coffee roaster that delivers by bike courier, if you need.

The bookshop side has a great selection of books, ranging children's books to radical discourse. The sale table is usually 10 or under, and has a little bit of everything. Ask for recommendations from the worker-owner at the info-desk. They also sell Baltimore themed t-shirts.

The staff are fantastic, efficient, friendly, and involved.

Highlights: gender-neutral bathrooms, water bottle filling station, great vegan food, free wifi, lots of space, good customer service.

I like the food , the ambiance and the environmental look of the inner gallery. I like the fact that the people are from all walks of life country and the world. The staff is however a little less affectionate I supposed due to the nature of being anarchist's but it handles well in the sight of the public and I appreciate everything but mildly warm soup. In leu of the mildly warm soup there is a children's corner that my son loved and lot's of books for him to meander through and two to color in. It's a Kid Safe Zone ... Yea!

Over all the warmth of the place and the rough industrial texture makes it a welcoming sight for both family and friends alike. I Love Red Emma's!
