11/09/2015 12:17 amFrom an appetizer of lobster and hearts of palm salad with delicious fresh herbs to an incredible veal roast over mashed celeriac and a delicious poached pear for dessert, our eyes and taste buds were dancing with joy! Our dietary restrictions were honored and dishes customized. We used to treat ourselves to Nora's a few times a year back in the early 80s and this was a romantic, nostalgic, and soulful return, now that we live in California! The extra bonus was that the décor’s principal feature is Nora’s stunning collection of antique quilts and service was flawless! |

11/08/2015 12:14 pmThe food is beautiful. Presentation is clearly important and thought out. The chef is at the top of her (?) game and there's no other restaurant in the city where the food is locally and if at all possible organically sourced. But you will pay for that level of exemplary food... out the wazoo. Still, excellent. No doubt. |

03/26/2015 7:56 pmWhile DC has been sprouting restaurants spouting top chef namesakes -- Nora has been a stalwart of DC for over 30 years. Nora promises a delicious meal and an atmosphere perfect for special occasions. First off, yes its expensive, but the price is palatable based on the service, the atmosphere, and the food. I came here with no set expectations other than hearing it was a good place to eat. I left wanting to come back. |

12/03/2014 8:03 pmIF you are in the mood for delicious, healthy but also fulfilling then turn to Restaurant Nora:America's First Organic Restaurant. I would recommend for an appetizer the roasted butternut squash soup and for the main course the seared day boat scallops (they are seriously to die for). To top off your dinner try for dessert the Flourless Molten Chocolate with Cappuccino Ice Cream. You will leave Nora's with a happy face :) |

11/22/2015 2:54 pmNora Pouillon's farm-to-table standard-bearer above DuPont Circle proves that old diamonds still have great luster, still drawing a well-heeled coterie thrilled by its creative organic New American cooking, bolstered by knowledgeable sommeliers, a cozy rustic ambiance and overall special-occasion vibes; although a minority grumbles that the menu is a tad dated, it still can please a picky, uptight NY guest. |
