Awesome place, at least when it comes to food. The service is just so so, and I always get this place confused with the other place the same guy owns which is right next door. And as another reviewer said, what is up with the forced valet parking? I mean you have a parking lot right outside of your restaurant, I can find parking myself...

The Carne Adovado is the best you'll ever have and the margaritas are always very good!

All in all, the food was good. Although I still think Blue Adobe in Mesa is as close to NM cuisine as you can get. Everything else was blah. What's with the forced valet parking? Our car was closer to us than the valet stand. The service was contemptible. Why would you use top shelf liquor in a mixed drink without at least mentioning it? Except to fleece your customers. If you judge a dining experience by how you feel after you leave a place, considering value, food quality, staff interaction. We left disappointed. Very unlikely to visit again.

The new location is not as intimate as the old one (can't blame them for the fire that destroyed the old one), but the fact that they copied the entire inside to match it is a sign of this great place. While the food is a bit pricey, it's definitely worth it for large plates of sausages, beans, rice, fish, etc. Daily specials are usually what I get as many of them have a mix of other individual plates. Great place for a date or for a cool place to take visitors.

"For a quick trip to New Mexico" without leaving Biltmore, hit this Southwestern "institution" where eats like "top-notch" carne adovado come with "just the right amount of heat"; "excellent service", modest prices and a "friendly atmosphere" complete the picture.
