06/05/2015 10:45 pmThis restaurant was very nice. The waiter was polite and professional. We ordered the burchetta which was really good. However, the meal is a different story. I had the Alfredo with chicken. The chicken had no flavor and the pasta was very bland. My wife had a chicken picatta and mentioned the pasta tasted like store bought. Her chicken did have flavor. The bread served with dinner was excellent. The price for wine is over priced. In fact, the whole meal was overpriced and we could had better meal at Olive Garden. While the ratings are higher on Google they are very low on Yelp with 93 reviews at the time of this posting. |

05/19/2015 12:21 pmI had the penne with smoked salmon and my wife had the penne with lamb sausage plus appetizer and drinks. The food was good, the drinks were not. We went in May, it was uncomfortably warm in the restaurant. It was so warm, we couldn't enjoy our food. We mentioned it to the waiter, but they didn't do anything. One problem is the afternoon sun comes right through the front Windows and the blinds do little to block it. Another problem is the restaurant leaving the front doors propped open so the A/C never had a chance to cool the place down. We'll never go back. |

11/25/2013 10:47 pmItalian by way of Ethiopia, IMO. Don't know about the reviews citing Venice. I have eaten there 40+ times; lunch, drinks and suppers. Having gotten to know the staff professionally, my service experience may not be typical but service is always outstanding. Also, food always between good and excellent, and reasonably priced considering table-cloth service and so on. Never had carry-out. You can certainly spend serious money there (particularly if imbibing several wines-by-the-glass) but not required. Reviews citing poor flavors or service may be credible but not my experience. I have taken groups there and never had a table-mate complain. The owners have several other places in Pentagon Row (Asian fusion, crepes, etc) and must be one of the larger tenants. Murali has been there for at least the five years I've been in the 'hood and must be doing most things right. |
