09/06/2013 3:34 pmWhat a great little place! I just came from Rizzo's with my friend who comes from Maryland and we thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service! We made it there just in the nick of time before they ran out of the hot food buffet lunch. We enjoyed broccoli with garlic and hot peppers done to perfection, eggplant parmesan, Lasagna with meatballs, and rice and beans, all served with some of that delicious homemade Italian bread that Rizzo's is famous for. And as if that wasn't enough, we splurged on a few homemade Italian cookies for dessert. They were light, not to sweet, and full of flavor. I love the Old World Italian atmosphere in it's simply designed storefront. Anna and her daughter-in-law Francesca are charming and have the loveliest of accents. We were happy to hear that Rizzo's is now doing a Saturday breakfast buffet. I'm planning on going back for that plus a steaming cup of cappuccino. And for all you Kitchen Cousins fans, Brunelleschi Construction is three buildings down from Rizzo's. I hear they like Rizzo's sandwiches! |

08/28/2010 3:35 pmI used to buy bread at this place. The bread is great, it is the only reason I used to go but if you go there you should be careful at the time the woman (who is in charge of the place) is preparing your bill, she overcharges you!. Other thing that annoyed me is that she does not use kitchen tongs or paper to manipulate the bread she is selling, she uses her bare hands :p, I never saw her washing her hands, disgusting. |
