Romano's, Anchorage, Alaska, Italian Restaurant Details

We have lived in Anchorage since 2012 but just visited this Restaurant last night, I love the decor and the food was really good and priced right, you do get bread and and salad with your meal, I ordered the Chicken Fettuccine and it was really good the chicken was tender i ate all the pasta which i never do and most of the chicken :) My husband ordered the Chicken Marsala and he too cleaned his plate even at the pasta which he never does... Will be back again :) My waitress had a sense of humor lol when she came to take our salad plates away i stated who say's you cant live on bread and water alone she apologized lol....

I always come here for date night. Beautiful restaurant, super sweet hostess, wonderful servers and even super polite bussers.
I have had many dishes and all were amazing.

I went to Romano's a week ago, and, sincerely, I was more than impressed. I ordered the Cannelloni, which was very, very good. They served bread with the meal, which was fantastic. We ordered the deep fried Mozzarella, which was fantastic; it was slices of fresh mozzarella, breaded and fried, not just frozen mozzarella sticks.

What surprised me most was, this diner was for my birthday, and it was mentioned to the waitress. After we were done eating our entrees, she came to the table with a serving of tiramisu, and she had put a birthday candle on it and said "Dessert's on me." !!!

I feel like reading other people's reviews describe two completely different restaurants! I had a beautiful experience, and many others seemed to, but other people say they hated it and got horrible service. I honestly don't know what to make of it, but I loved it!
