07/07/2016 10:06 pm![]() You can smell the smoke from "a mile away" at these "solid-as-a-rock" chain pit stops doling out "tender" BBQ brisket ("go for the extra moist") and "mouthwatering ribs" sided with "amazing" "signature creamed corn"; they're set in refurbished gas stations, so you can line up "cafeteria-style", "order by the pound" and fill up your tank on the way out – talk about "true fast food." |

12/29/2015 11:25 pm![]() The original location that started the chain. The creamed corn is always good and one of those "vegetables" that are fun to eat without nutritional value :) the brisket can be really good at times and so so at other times. What makes this fun is the atmosphere which is always lively and deliciously smoky. Worth a trip but don't have too many high expectations and all will be well. |

11/30/2015 10:44 pm![]() This place smells like heaven, the staff knows how to move through the line, they offer samples, and the food is always great. My only caution is to watch how much you're getting as you can rack up a bill pretty quick. I stick with about a quarter pound of brisket, a small side of creamed corn, and maybe a drink and stay around $10. |

07/29/2015 5:58 pm![]() Love Rudy's BBQ, but not this "original" Rudy's. All of the other ones that I have experienced, have all of the fixings (pickles, peppers, etc) out in an open bar for you to get. This location has them all behind the counter, then wants to charge you for them (free at all other locations). My wife normally gets their baked potato with chopped smoked turkey. This location.......old lady behind the counter looked at my wife like she was crazy when she asked for one. Apparently, they don't serve those. Lastly, meat doesn't taste anywhere near as good as it does at the other locations, and was priced WAY more expensive (by at least a couple dollars per pound). |
