For a rip roaring good time in an obscenely small space in downtown Anchorage look no further than RumRunners. The hot waitresses & bartenders are easy on the eyes and the drinks are mixed with a mind towards making you forget it's dark half the year! It's more of a locals joint than tourist spot but it;s tiny so get there early if you want to secure a table. I loved going here after a night at the fights just up the street. This was the first place in AK to serve a vodka red bull way back in 2001. It's trendy, filled with young people and always a good time.

The place was disgusting. The table was dirty and the server refused to clean it. We left because of the attitude and cleanliness of the place was really, really bad!!! You'd be better anywhere else.

Being a server myself, I was really disappointed in the service, or the lack thereof. We walked in, seated ourselves, got our own menus, and waited to get noticed. We debated leaving but remained hopeful only to find ourselves in a rather frustrating situation. We finished our first glasses of wine and waited...and waited some more. We would have ordered another bottle, but due to the poor service, we decided to stick with water. Then we had ordered side salads to precede our steaks... to find out they had forgotten about the salads and let our steaks sit under the heating lamps while they quickly tried to bring the salads. Overall, it was a long wait for something not that great! Too bad.
