02/25/2015 12:32 amSecond time I've been here and they do have a great selection of interesting fish. It's not just your typical menu and not for the person who only likes fancy rolls. A more traditional Tokyo style place. The atmosphere is nothing special but the food is the star here. |

01/03/2015 1:37 pmSakana is a lovely place to take a first date or an old friend. Located just up and out of the fray of Union Square, the talented sushi chefs prepare traditional sushi for a great price. The place is tiny, but that makes it intimate. The Sushi is incredibly fresh, with a constantly updating menu of what is coming in from Japan. The homemade green tea flan is one of my favorite desserts, and not something you'd normally see at a sushi restaurant. |

12/31/2014 2:09 amFresh and traditional Japanese sushi. Small and simple atmosphere. Not flashy or trendy. Doesn't offer a list of over the top excessive special rolls with over powering sauces and mayonnaise. Great hand and cut rolls and sashimi. Highlights the taste of the fresh fish! Great price too!! |
