Food was awesome. Service was great. Jonnie is your guy. I do recommend the tameles and the queso flameado.

DON'T BELIEVE THE 20 MINUTE WAIT LIE!! We were told 20 minutes wait and 45 minutes later and I heard the hostess tell everyone the same wait time!! We counted at 20 or more tables available!!@$%# WILL NOT GO BACK AGAIN! Many people in the waiting line pissed off and left! Been there many times, never experienced this before. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!@^%&*%#@!!! If the hostess was honest about the wait time, MAYBE we could have been more patient. DON'T LIE, BE HONEST!! DON'T forget the $10 BLAND margarita!! WE BELIEVE THEY DO THE LONG WAIT ON PURPOSE TO SPEND YOUR MONEY ON OVER PRICED DRINKS! WHAT DO YOU THINK? We left and went to Jalapeño Restaurant in Helotes. GREAT FOOD, GREAT MUSIC AND BEST OF ALL, FAST, FRIENDLY SERVICE!! HAD OUR ORDER IN 15 MINUTES!! JALAPEÑO RESTAURANT, YOU HAVE MY VOTE!!

Second time there first time we waited 45 minutes for our drink order..then waitress FORGOT she took our drink order! She even asked us if we wanted water and we NEVER received it!...then she too another 45 minutes to get our food...blamed it on my daughters steak which was Carne asada..That is a THIN cut steak!..and I ordered a quesadilla...
Tonight we got invited by some friends to eat there again. ..well we get there and it's virtually empty...so we're like yeah we'll get good service. ..so we sit down and the waiter comes...first thing out of his mouth is how they had 6 employees walked out on them and they have only 3 workers him ..a waitress and a bartender. ...the manager was serving food and making drinks!...
We order and again we got our food before our drinks...but half of our food wasn't brought to us!...so we asked the manager...can we get our drinks?...so he makes them..Margaritas. ...and brings them to us...then we had to ask for utensils to eat with...and ll the while this poor waiter and manager are running around like chickens with their heads cut off....and you can see in the managers face his embarrassment! ...how can these people stay in business. ...wow!...I was embarrassed for them...they kept apologizing. ...something has to be done there!...that is crazy ...

Well I never do this but sometimes you have too. We were sat at 7:10 had to let the manager know at 7:25 no one had got our drinks yet. He brings them than leaves still dont know who our server is. Waited waited waited come 7:40 we walked out. The servers never made eye contact as if to avoid us and not have another table to serve. One server greeted his friends sat them served them while we hadn't even gotten our drinks taken. Horrible we walked out as if we were never there.

Food:

First: Our margarita came with hair in it - thank you sloppy barber. Second: I ordered Steak Ranchero and it came out with no sauce or no cheese. The waiter took it back and claimed kitchen had given him the wrong order. Brought out correct order and the meat tasted old and very poorly seasoned. Girlfriend ordered Fajita Quesadillas and they came out looking like a child plate - with just chicken and cheese - supposed to have grilled peppers and onions, and sides. Again the waiter claimed the kitchen prepared them wrong. He said they would remake them and when he brought them out the second time they were shrimp, not chicken. So, round three, promised to have them made again and no charge on the bill; this time they came out made as they should be except they were cold - the cheese inside wasn't even melted. To top all this off, the staff was arguing with each other in passing, and most of them looked unprofessional. Please don't waste your money here, there are 3,000 other Mexican restaurants in San Antonio that you will have a much better time at.
