The prices were good as d service was fast. We tried one of the balls of fire. One of the hottest things I have ever had. If you like heat in your food give this place a try!

Food:

All around great service & food, my father who has traveled around the world, was delighted with the authentic dishes he hasn't had since the 80's. My fiance and I enjoyed GREAT BALLS OF FIRE.

Food:

The restaurant has one of your typical mixture of random seating and decor, and the menu is a good match. The cuisine ranges from Indian to Jamaican, though it's hardly authentic.

The two words that best sum up the food is greasy and bland. I had the Cheesy Poofs, which are deep-fried Cheesy mash potatoes. They left a fatty coating in my mouth. I also had a Lemonade which had no lemon juice in it. My main course was the Cuban that was dripping with grease and lacking in flavor.

Service is quick and friendly, but the food is overpriced and unappealing. If it was half the cost I would consider eating here again.

Had a late lunch, caught the 3-6p happy hour. Ordered the five Great Balls of Fire, managed to get through them, wasn't too bad, cool little food challenge. Also had a jerk chicken burrito, extremely colorful on the plate, fantastic variety of flavors, very good. Also, noticeably good choice of music played outside. Awesome experience, I highly recommend this place

Great food and drinks. The food is reliably good, well-spiced, with large portions. Helpful, prompt service. Sometimes they play the music too loud, but this feature has improved. During peak times the wait can be quite long. They do have gluten free and veggie/vegan on the menu - marked clearly, too! One of my favorite places to eat in SW portland!
