I went in here because my pots were noisy. Ryan helped me out right away - cleaned and greased 'em while I waited, and carefully inspected the whole instrument too. Not the biggest job in the world, but from what I saw it seems to me this is a place to trust. Thanks!

I was in a bind. I called Alex Fletcher from Pro Guitar Shop, my go to guy for all things 'guitar' in Portland. Thursday morning at 10am -- Me: "Alex, I have an emergency. We're playing a sold out show at The Crystal Ballroom tomorrow night and I just discovered a terrible dent in my bridge plate and saddle after my guitar dropped out of the wall." Alex: "Not to worry, I'll call my good friend Ryan at East Side Guitars. He's the best in Portland and he will get you covered."

Ryan took my emergency to heart and he hooked me up big time! He hammered out my bridge plate, replaced a saddle pin, re-crowned my fret board, custom made me a new bone nut, cleaned the pots, pro-setup, and finished the job 4 hours before my show at The Crystal. My tele now plays far better than ever before and it sounds better too! I wouldn't take my business anywhere else. Ryan is truly a pro!

I played guitar in the Blood Brothers and I currently play in Jaguar Love here in Portland. In all my years I don't think I've been happier with anyone thats worked on my guitars. Ryan gets my highest recommendation! Anywhere from basic set ups to complete restoration of guitars are better than well done at East Side. They also do really great amp repair!
