Sams Cafe, Phoenix, Arizona Restaurant Details

We had our engagement dinner here. The view was amazing and the staff provided excellent service. A hidden treasure for visiting family and friends. Bravo!

My husband and I found this restaurant by chance and while looking at the menu we decided to eat there because the food smelled wonderful. The chips and salsas were very tasty! We had a chicken dish with goat cheese and blacken tuna and they were amazing! Some of the best food we've had in a long time!

Corn was best part of the meal. Don't get the meatloaf, no flavor. No bread, and had a long wait every time we needed drink refills and it wasn't even that busy. Don't recommend, won't go back

A1 top to bottom. The chef, manager, server, food, scene, and my belly. The food was bursting with flavor and fresher than ever. Coming from New York, I definitely approve. If I'm in Arizona again I'd come back for sure.

It was a Sunday night with hardly any diners inside the restaurant, but we felt lucky to get an outside table: it was a beautiful night and Sam's has a terrific atmosphere. After we were seated, it took nearly 10 minutes for someone to bring the complimentary (and mediocre) chips and salsa, and then a while longer for someone to take our drink order. The server was inexperienced and complained about customers who didn't understand that she was busy, but thanked us for being cool about it. We weren't impressed. Well, our drinks came quickly and we ordered our food.

The mexi slaw was fantasatic, and the black beans were beautifully flavorful. Unfortunately, the blackened chicken ceasar salad was entirely boring, and the fish tacos were made with musty and overly fishy tilapia with no other fillers.

We heard other diners pleased about their food, but we struck out.
