03/23/2015 5:05 pmIf you like Asian food, and don't care for eating meat, you can't go wrong by visiting San San Tofu. Several times I have been in at lunch time to see a group of Buddhist monks eating together there, which says a lot about the standards of the place. It is always busy, yet there is always a very nice, peaceful atmosphere to the place. The prices are very low, for example, a take-out consists of fried rice or noodles with 3 sides, and a soup, for $6.75. The food is always fresh, and tasty, and their selection of flavored tofu is amazing. Definitely try the 'fish' flavored tofu; it's my favorite. They also have a small market area next to the restaurant consisting of a variety of vegan Asian products. My favorite snack if the dried Korean seaweed snacks! Definitely will be back there - a lot. |

08/06/2014 9:02 pmI rarely come here because i dont have many people to come here with. I finally got to come today! My favorite thing to get here is Hu Tieu Mi Chay. It's a little funky cuz it has pho noodles and yellow noodles but the soup is soooo yummy. And it comes with a variety of "seafood" and mushrooms goodness. I add beansprout and lime and it's a rush of happiness in my mouth! I dont know about the rice plates though. The veggies seem wilted and the fish and other stuff is a bit on the salty side. The rice plates are a good deal though. But my recommendation is the noodle soup. And in the dimsum section try the turnip cakes! It's soooo great! Tastes just like the ones they have at dimsum restaurants. |
