The restaurant is South African with an Indian influence. If you are lucky to get a window seat you will have a fantastic view of the animals roaming across the "savanna" outside.

The bread service is a must and it includes 5 breads (naan, garlic naan, spiced naan, onion kucha, & paneer paratha) and 9 dipping sauces. My favorites were the red chile sambal, tomato-date jam, red pepper hummus, and the cucumber raita. I washed them all down with a flight of Pinotage, South Africa's signature varietal.

For entrees I tried the lamb sliders, tandoori chicken, and the trio of butter chicken, spiced lamb, and basmati rice. They were all very delicious and had wonderful flavors.

There are lots of teas to choose from and it's a great accompaniment to dessert. I decided on the mango Rooibos to go with the dessert trio which consisted of chocolate mousse, banana cheesecake, and kulfi. I also tried the bread pudding which had a nice spice to it.

Service was excellent, the food was fabulous, and the experience was truly memorable.

I'd give 4.5 stars if i could. I'm stingy with my stars.

This was maybe my third time at Sanaa, and I was a bit disappointed. I have come to expect really exceptional service from Disney, and it was lackluster during this latest trip, especially at Sanaa. Our waitress was rude and impatient with our large party, and the food was only mediocre. The assortment of naan and spreads was delicious, and the coffee was quite good, but my entree and dessert were both disappointing. I got the shortribs (quite good) and the shrimp (didn't even want to eat it). The banana cheesecake was a bit strange, but fine.

Loved the food and the atmosphere. Dining and watching giraffes and zebras strolling around the ground is fantastic! Great theme!

However you pronounce it, Sanaa is a hidden culinary gem at Walt Disney World.

Tip: Make a 5:00 reservation, show up a little early, and push for a window seat so you can see the animals before sunset.

Order the bread sampler. This restaurant is all about the sauces, and the bread sampler is incredible.

We tried the lamb sliders. bison masala, and durban chicken. All were excellent.

If you like it hot, there is a sauce (not advertised in the menu) called Peli Peli. It burns at the throat, not the tongue.
