05/01/2015 4:09 amThis "quiet" Indian "retreat" off Columbus Circle is touted for its "reliable" kitchen, "courteous" service, "comfortable" quarters and location "convenient to Lincoln Center"; though it's a tad "more expensive" than some, the $17 buffet lunch is a "bargain." |

01/17/2015 12:46 pmI used to order take out from Sapphire and now having moved to Atlanta miss their Navratan Korma so much. Really amazing Indian food (especially for a spice wimp like me) full of flavor and ample portions. I also remember a very friendly staff who were always accommodating and happy to be so. |

10/05/2014 12:38 pmOver priced for no reason and the waiter was so disrespectful he tried to force me to have dessert. And the food wasn't that great. |

06/12/2014 1:08 amI've read all these positive reviews. I'm sorry to write that they did not reflect my experience at lunch. Only after I was seated did they inform me I had 15 minutes to eat before they would clear the buffet. Why seat me? 15 minutes to finish a plate of food or did they think I was going to pile it on? They were in such a hurry to get my money and get me out the door they didn't bother about the niceties of asking for drink order. The food was already cold. Clearly they had begun closing before my arrival. A half dozen mature men in handsome suits were busy talking among themselves. The dining room was nearly empty. One gentleman, again well suited at the bar nearby, tabulating the lunch's "take" could hear my complaint about the short time and the cold food preferred counting his money to intervening. Simple greed. There are better choices in this neighborhood. |
