This has got to be one of the best Indian restaurants in the area. Indian food is my favorite so I have tried many. Saran verves only vegetarian foo. The pumpkin or okra dish is awesome! All of them are, really.

I usually order take-out, since I live just down the road from Saran. All of the dishes are vegetarian, though I enjoy many of them more than some of the meat dishes I've had at other nearby Indian restaurants.

I stick with the Northern style and Punjabi entrees, as it appears to be their specialty. I'm a huge fan of their chana masala/cholle bhatoore as well as their baigan ka bartha (eggplant). Their homemade paneer is great, too. If you're into spicy foods like I am, simply ask for a little extra heat when placing your order and they'll be happy to oblige.

I love eating here because the entrees are well worth the price and I also feel completely full and satisfied after every meal, though not too stuffed. If you're a vegetarian, this is a place you should definitely check out. Otherwise, if you're like me, it's still well worth it for the authentic north Indian cuisine. I've never actually sat down inside to eat, but the service has always been friendly and very accommodating for my take-out orders. It also usually takes no more than 10 minutes from the phone call to the plate for your order to be ready.

Masala Dosa was one of their specialality according to them, so I ordered one. The sambar was extremely tangy, does was served cold. When asked why sambar is uneatable the answer was "we are from Delhi, we are not from south India, we try our best" If you don't know how to cook a dish, it should not be in menu

If you are a vegan and on top of that you are gluten intolerant, this is a great restaurant in which to dine. Saran has a fantastic buffet for lunchtime the entire week. The dinners are really quite good and the service is excellent. Highly recommend!
