Food:

Made the local NBC news in early April, 2016 for humiliating then kicking out a disabled person with a service dog. Needed to see her "papers."

The owner claimed he just bought the restaurant the day after the incident, and so it wasn't his fault.

Never ate there. Never plan to now. It's now at the bottom of the 3,201 Tex-Mex restaurants in this town.

Pobrecita! They have worked this ole gal to death. From the tired carpeting and furniture to the scarred kitchen doors, Sarita's is in dire need of an architectural Botox treatment. Unfortunately it has taken on the tired old demeanor of the rest of the shopping center anchored by an ancient HEB store.

I have come here for many years, though it has been a while, and enjoyed the food today as much as I did then. Well flavored boracho beans, enchiladas stuffed with seasoned beef and smothered with a rich gravy (not the red chile type; more like a rich broth), garlicky rice that was served steaming hot, and a puffy taco that was just as stuffed with beef as were the enchiladas. It was not greasy either. I used my old trick of wrapping the puffy in a fluffy flour tortilla and had no trouble with the splits, an untoward event that often takes place when one tries to eat a puffy and results in a handful of dangling corn masa pieces while the filling tumbles to the plate (or lap if you happen to be so unlucky).

All I can say is I hope the unfastidious appearance of the place is not a bellwether for the manner of management for the kitchen and the food the restaurant serves. The food seemed well prepared and fresh today, but further contemplation of the matter as a whole does give one pause.

The food was delicious and the lunch specials are bargains. However, If the restaurant was remodeled in the not too distant past, all I gotta say is ask for you money back.

Tuesday dinner, odd at the beginning wondering if to seat yourself, but waiter popped around, ussher to our table. Margarita actually not weak!! Dinner came out fast, little too quick, but good flavor. price was decent. Will come again on day like this

I usually get the Crispy Taco Plate, they have a lot on their menu, so I can't speak to everything, but from what I've eaten and from every time I've been there, I can say it's one of my favorite places to eat (their chips and salsa are also fair; if the salsa was more spicy, I'd be happier).

Make sure you don't order for take out! Got half way through my chimichanga and found 2 pieces of hair inside. I honestly thought it was cheese, but it was most positively hair. I know if I call and complain they will just think I'm trying to get a deal, so I'm saving my SANITY and TIME. If this happened while I was there I definitely would have let them know. And honestly probably the worse chimichanga I have ever had. Save your money.
