11/29/2015 1:33 am![]() Sawasdee Thai Cuisine is one of the worst restaurants I've ever experienced, and I'll describe my experiences in this review. To me, the food is bland to mediocre in flavor, especially compared to Thai powerhouses like Bangkok 54 and Thai Dee. On my last trip, I perceived quite clearly that my protein was indeed undercooked and cold, and the taste was that of spoiled meat. The taste was extremely odd, separate from the flavors of the rest of the dish. One thing is for certain: it was not good meat, whether spoiled or just that poor in quality. After mentioning to the waiter that I would not eat any more of this due to the flavor but more especially what very much seemed like spoiled meat, they refused to refund my dish saying "they have no liability for the food". Seriously? What sort of restaurant in the modern world would say such a thing, let alone not fairly compensate a customer who had a potentially pathogenic raw protein on his plate that could lead to food poisioning? This place, apparently. The manager and the owner denied any culpability for their product and service pointing at their small print on the menu, but they certainly took my money quickly and discretely without once asking how the food was or asking for any further details to improve their product, like other restaurants do. They did not stand by their food - their product - when arguing with me and instead repeated they are not responsible for their food and that customers are required to pay for their food regardless of the result. I paid a lot of money for food that I couldn't (and shouldn't) eat, and there was no remorse or apology from the staff or owner. None. They didn't seem to care; perhaps it's a normal occurrence day-to-day for them now. I would urge everyone reading this review to consider my experience with Sawasdee carefully so that you too do not have the same terrible experience as I. |
