Scampi's Mediterranean Cafe, Fort Worth, Texas, Italian Restaurant Details

Looking for a Greek restaurant and finding our first choice closed, we made our way to a name we remembered from an earlier search, and on reflection, are glad for the experience. First of note is the restaurant is intimately configured with five booths and a half dozen tables set amidst a faux painted wall of warm tones and canvas painted wall hangings, and similar in setting to the cafes of Mediterranean Europe. The menu offered a selection of Greek foods as well as other Mediterranean dishes, and as we later discovered, the desert menu is equally diverse and tempting.

It was the first time to experience Mediterranean food by two members of my party, and I expect they will return; next time with their own wine -- as bringing your own is welcome here -- for a $5 dollar cork fee. Of course, I will be back -- for the delicious food as well as the atmosphere, to enjoy and to learn what else on the menu is as delicious as the Greek Sampler.
