Great ambiance, good pasta, not overcooked, but expensive a la carte menu

Really wonderful atmosphere. Hosts and waiters are friendly and the restaurant feels very homey. Their pasta is really good. I also liked the salad I tried on my second visit for lunch. Perfect place to grab lunch. It's a pretty popular Bowdoin kids hang out, so it's never really too quiet in there. Definitely recommend it!

Stopped by because of the sign out side that said they had the best burgers in town. I think i'm going to rip it down when I leave. The burgher was half the size of the bun. It was obviously frozen and pre made. I like my burgers well done but I have never had one this well done in my life. Probably won't stop here again if in town.

Easily the best food around! When ever I have friends or business people in town I always take them to Scarlet B's....the best part of introducing people to this wonderful place is the next time they're in town, they insist on going back and usually treat!
No where else can you get hand crafted food of this caliber. I always insist on starting with a "Must for Gus" fresh roasted garlic on wonderfully crunchy bread topped with melted cheese and their own marinara! Then it's either a "Hugh's Attitude" a pasta with incredible ingredients including spicy sausage, or a "Rose Begonia" a pasta with cream sauce, or a "Sally's Choice" a thin crust personal pizza with real sausage(not fake slices) and broccoli, or a "Turkey/Spinach Sandwich" grilled with basil mayo, or a......well you get the idea. I have never been served anything there that hasn't become my absolute favorite food!
The staff is friendly and knows the food. They have a full bar, but I don't drink, but my friends have always been happy with the drinks.
If I'm in a running late to go to the movies or Maine State Music Theater, just up the street, I'll call in a "to go" order and enjoy my meal with friends in front of the theater, another great idea for dinner is grab a "to go" order and walk across the street and enjoy the public mall, often with live music to enjoy during your picnic.
I've even ordered large quantities of pasta for a family event at my house, would have claimed it as my own cooking, but my entire family loves Scarlet B's too, so they knew it wasn't mine.

Scarlet B's is top notch and should not be missed! Everything about their restaurant leaves me feeling happy and like I've had a wonderful evening out! The atmosphere is warm and chic, the service superb and friendly, and the food is absolutely amazing. You should not miss out on their wonderful salads, amazing soups, hand-crafted pizzas, and exquisite and carefully designed entrees. If you are lucky enough to come in on a day when there are crab cakes or southwestern black bean soup, do not miss out on these delicious items! Many of their specials utilize the abundance of Maine seafoods as they come available, so there is always a new and delicious dish to try. The Lavalle's have created the best in dining in Brunswick, if you have not visited their restaurant you are missing out!
