07/07/2016 9:57 pm![]() On the San Antonio scene since 1917, this Downtown deli "landmark" is "the place to go" for "overstuffed sandwiches", soups and other "hearty", "German-style" delicacies washed down with "old-time" homemade root beer; well-worn tables and brew signs help maintain the original feel, while the "bargain" prices are refreshingly retro to boot; P.S. closes at 8:30 PM. |

04/02/2016 4:44 pm![]() Looking for breakfast in San Antonio in the Riverwalk area? This is the place. Real deal deli, and a great place for a good breakfast. Biscuits were a favorite with my gal, and she wanted the recipe, which understandably is a closely held secret of the establishment. You will not be disappointed. |

03/26/2016 2:53 am![]() This was the first place we stopped to eat at when we arrived in San Antonio and I was extremely disappointed. When we walked in, we were asked to wait (which is fine). We had a seat and shortly after, a white couple walked in and they were seated immediately. We should have left then, but decided to give it a chance. Once we ordered our food, the waitress did not come back once to check on us, but checked on every table surrounding us. On top of the blatant disrespect, the food was terrible! I will not be coming back! |

02/09/2016 10:10 pm![]() This is probably my favorite place downtown. Incredible German food with a great atmosphere. They have German beer as well as homemade root beer. There is a bakery at the front for take home dessert. Had the applesauce and potato pancakes and was not disappointed. |
